Nithya

A deity seated above wings of ruby and emerald cabochons, opening into a pearl veiled cone.

The stud sits a small seated deity figure atop a crescent shaped spread set with deep red and green cabochon stones, with tiny gold bells swinging at each side. Below, a conical jhumka in fine openwork lattice is topped with a petalled cap and skirted in a cluster of pearls and small gold beads. The high golden finish and cabochon stone setting give this piece a richer, more jewelled look than plain relief work.
