Hand-painted colour meets temple gold, the art the palace jewellers were known for.

The goddess stands on a blooming red lotus with green leaves, her hands painted in soft pink, flanked by two enamelled peacocks in blue, green and red. Below her, six rows of tiny pearls curve like a fan, with pearl clusters dropping from the edge. The long chain is built from engraved golden florets, broken by colourful enamelled drum-shaped beads in pink, green and orange. The matching jhumkas carry the same enamelled peacock motif in miniature, with open filigree and a pearl fringe. The rich golden finish makes the painted colour pop even more.
